Spencer is based in Denver, CO, and is responsible for transactions on commercial real estate loans with a focus on affordable and middleincome multifamily.
Prior to joining BWE, Spencer worked with the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) as a Tax Credit Officer. Prior to CHFA, Spencer was a Housing Development Specialist with the Colorado Division of Housing where he analyzed and structured nearly $20 million in gap funding grants and loans to support 1,650 units. Spencer began his career in sustainability, first as an associate at the US Green Building Council and then as a sustainability consultant with Doo Consulting in Baltimore, Maryland. He lives in Denver with his wife and daughter.
