Andrew Russell

Andrew joined BWE in 2019 and is currently a Senior Vice President focused on facilitating direct loan originations through the Company’s various debt and equity programs including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, and Life Insurance Companies. In addition to the origination of the Company’s direct capital products, Andrew is responsible for the origination and brokerage of debt and equity solutions on behalf of clients. During his time at BWE, Andrew has been a direct party to the origination of $3 billion in multifamily loan originations. Andrew and his team have played an intricate role in building out new financing programs with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and various other capital sources in the multifamily industry that facilitate the preservation of naturally occurring workforce and affordable housing.

Andrew is an active member in his community and works with multifamily owners locally and nationwide to implement Social Impact and ESG centered initiatives that improve the lives of lower income families.

Prior to BWE, Andrew was an Associate with Newmark where he was a direct participant in the origination, underwriting, processing, and closing of $3billion in multifamily transactions.  During his time at Newmark, Andrew assisted in the foundation of one of the Newmark’s first fully integrated structured finance and investment sales offices located in Dallas, TX. 

Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Business Economics and History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016.
