BWE Announces Nora Keane as Director of Affordable Housing Analytics

Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC (BWE), a national commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company, announced today that Nora Keane has joined the company as its new Director of Affordable Housing Analytics. Keane brings over 15 years of experience in affordable housing to BWE and will lead the team that supports the firm’s growing affordable housing platform for transactions with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and private placement sources. She assumes the role from Kamara Green, who was recently elevated to the position of National Director of Affordable Housing Production at BWE.

“We are at a critical juncture for affordable housing production, and I am thrilled to have Nora join our team to help us serve clients who are creating and preserving housing for low- and moderate-income families,” said Green. “Nora’s development and financing expertise makes her the perfect leader for our housing analytics team, and I look forward to working closely with her to deliver financing that can meet the unique needs of affordable housing partners.”

Prior to joining BWE, Keane was the National Affordable Production Manager for Agency Finance at PNC Real Estate, where she managed a team of analysts and oversaw all aspects of initial loan structuring for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and HUD multifamily affordable housing transactions.

“There are few housing leaders with deeper connections to agency lenders than Nora, and her addition to the BWE team will only strengthen our position as an industry leader in the affordable housing space,” said Jeff Patton, National Director of Agency Relationships at BWE. “With Nora at the helm of our housing analytics team, BWE will continue to leverage our relationships with agencies and private lenders to secure the best possible financing options for our clients.”

Before she joined PNC's Agency Finance group in 2015, Keane spent five years with PNC’s Tax Credit Solutions group, supporting the origination of equity investments and debt financing for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties located primarily in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Before joining PNC, Keane was the Director of Institutional Giving at nonprofit housing organization Foundation Communities and a Project Coordinator at DMA Development Company, both located in Austin, TX.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside my new colleagues at BWE to help operators and developers build and preserve affordable homes,” said Keane. “I look forward to strengthening our relationships with existing clients, as well as fostering news ones, as we find new ways to bring financing solutions to critically needed projects across the country.”

Keane holds both a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Texas at Austin. She will be based in Austin.
