Michael Lonsway

Michael E. (“Mike”) Lonsway joined BWE in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all of the company’s financial functions, including accounting, forecasting, and corporate finance as well as IT and facilities.

Previously, Mike held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Southern Land Company for three years. In addition to his responsibilities for all accounting, finance and resource optimization programs, he was also a member of both the Investment and Executive Committee, providing business intelligence, analysis and strategic planning support.

Prior to this experience, Lonsway was Executive Vice President of Planning for Forest City Realty Trust, Inc. where he was responsible for the company’s financial planning and analysis, real estate decision support and investor relations.

Lonsway joined Forest City in 2004 and held multiple leadership positions of increasing responsibility within the organization, including serving as executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer of Forest City Ratner Companies, the company’s New York office and largest business unit, where he was responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and accounting. Prior to his role in New York, Lonsway served as Senior Vice President of Capital Markets for Forest City.

Education

Lonsway holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting, with a minor in information systems, from Miami University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Affilitations

He currently serves on the Finance Committee of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Cleveland and the Investment Committee of Summa Health System as well as the Miami University Finance Department Executive Advisory Board.
