Mike Meyer

As Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President for BWE’s lending platform, Mike manages the company’s underwriting of all Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA and USDA transactions. He is responsible for the underwriting, processing and closing from Bellwether’s Columbus, Ohio office. Mike Joined the company in 2014 and was integral in BWE’s efforts to obtain a full Fannie Mae DUS license in 2015. Since joining the company, he has overseen the underwriting and closing of transactions totaling more than $20 billion. Mike has strong depth of experience in all multifamily housing types including affordable housing, seniors Housing, manufactured housing and student housing. 

Prior to joining the company, Mike served Red Mortgage Capital for 10 years, starting in the management trainee program and transitioning to Fannie Mae DUS underwriting. He directly underwrote single and portfolio asset transactions in excess of $1 billion. Later as a Managing Director and Deputy Chief Underwriter, Mike provided direct oversight for seven production analysts located in four offices throughout the U.S. This team was responsible for screening and quoting all Agency and FHA debt products.
